Morgan played a female character on the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. Proceeds from the video were donated in part towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising projects and also gave testimony at a special Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. She is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA and Amfar. C. Everett Koop's previous assistant surgeon general asked her occasionally to sub for him during AIDS awareness events. Additionally, she was the host of a AIDS Awareness Special hosted by Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline about AIDS. Morgan is nominated to be the Emmy recipient for her role in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written especially for Morgan. In spring, she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. She then started the summer by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zerneck/Sertner and also starred Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. She then starred in the production of Harmony Gold, Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred as the main character in a psychological thriller that was solely produced by the USA Network. It received the top rating that the network has ever had.
